International Institution for Strategic Studies (IISS) has warned that Al-Qaeda may organize an attack similar to 9/11 at any time.
LONDON- In a report prepared by the International Institution for Strategic Studies (IISS), that the threat of Al-Qaeda terror was as high as ever and would increase much more day by day was expressed. It was said in the report Al-Qaeda increased its powers and now had the capacity to organize a similar devastating attack as in Sptember 11, 2001 in the US.
Stating that Al-Qaeda’s center was resistant and its structure was adaptable to new conditions, it was said the organizaion had gained its power and could at any time plan a great attack contrary to the belief in public opinion.
Specialists of IISS, “The US and its allies have failed to defeat Al-Qaeda with a deadly blow. It seems that the terrorist organization has striken its roots and it will take much time to eradicate the ideology of the organization.” said.
While some other concerns relating security in the world take place in the report, Iran is reported that it may have nuclear arms between the years 2009-2010 and this is noted as “a worst-condition scenerio”
Pointing out the US lost its power in maintaining security and order in Iraq, IISS experts said there were doubts on the adequacy of Iraqi President Nouri Al Maliki but attempting to appaoint someone else would cause delay in the process.
