
In line with the ‘union of families’, France has taken action in order to require DNA test from immigrants entering France.
PARIS- As per the draft bill accepted by the Legal Commission of the Assembly, if an immigrant with residential and working permits wishes to bring his family to France, he will have to prove this blood bond by DNA test.
However, it was stated that both left-wing parties in opposition and some deputies, who are the members of Public Movement in power, are opposed to the said amendment of law. France is also working on a possibility that immigrants to come to France in the framework of ‘union of families’ should be required to take exams concerning adaptation to a new country and foreign language in French Consulate-general in their own countries before they come to the country
