
PHUKET- After the plane crash in Thailand in Phuket Island, planes’s flight recorders were found. Now the investigators are trying to find what made the plane fell.
Sansern Wongchaum, Thailand’s Deputy Minister responsible for Transportation, said it would take at least one week to analyze and to take the results of records and after that, the situation would be clearer in terms of what caused this crash.
As far as it is announced on NTSB’s web site, investigators from America and National Transportation Safety Board will assist inquiries.
the plane crashed was a US-origin McDonnell Douglas MD-82. according to recent data, 40 of 130 people (123 passengers and 7 crew) died in the accident triggered by wet and windswept runway.
Plane attempted to land two times but finally was able to stop, smashing into hillside in flames.
Thai PM Surayud Chulanont, “Now dead bodies which may still be in plane’s wreckage are being searched under the close follow-up of Deputy Director of Thai Airports and Minister of Transport” said. A spokeswoman of the US embassy in Bangkok declared that as far as known, 4 Americans were killed in the accident. German, British, French, Israeli, Australian Embassies reached Phuket, offering help and assistance. Foreign Minister of Australia said Canberra was offering assitance of Australian Federal Police disaster victim identification team.
Thailand has cancelled the flights from Phuket International Airport.
