A person living in Sivas complained that YouTube insulted Turkish leaders Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Abdullah Gül, Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan and also the army. The web site was accused of hosting ‘harmful’ videos. Following the decision, authorities of YouTube said they were willing to cooperate with Turkish authorities to find a solution..
The main complaint relating this was that YouTube’s insulting Atatürk, the beloved founder of the Republic of Turkey. The court order had come in March.
Nevertheless, after the video was removed from the web site, Telekom authorities notified the court about this and YouTube lovers regained access to the site a couple of days after the removal of video..
